A few weeks ago a had the pleasure of Djing & MCing another wedding reception at The Old Cheese Factory in Berwick. Don't let the name mislead you. Amongst the beautifully landscaped grounds you’ll find a homestead, cheese factory and other buildings dating back to 1860.
It’s the perfect backdrop and location for your special day. You can have your ceremony, wedding photos and reception all in the one spot. For more about this amazing location click here. Huge congratulations to Chris & Sally-Anne for tying the knot and for putting on such a great night's entertainment for their family & friends. And a special mention goes out to Jess from Eventful Horizons for doing such a magnificent job of transforming the space. Great work!

December can be a busy month. There's just never enough time to fit everything in during the lead-up to Christmas & New Years. Tonight's clever corporate customer of ours is having their Christmas Party tonight. It's not the biggest party for the biggest company, but they're all here, and they're all having a blast! Big Thanks to Doyles Bridge Hotel for the outstanding hospitality. Check out tonight's entrée & mains and tell me you don't want to eat here! Tonight's gig is the Seaford Junior Football Clubs Annual Ball at the Chelsea RSL. It's a great venue which can easily hold 300 seated and still have ample room to dance "or sing" as the case is tonight. Here's the Ex-President of the club, Gary W belting out Khe Sahn much to everyone's delight.
Tonight I’m in The Whispers function room at The Dingley International for Andy & Jade’s 60th & 21st Birthdays. I’ve only relatively recently re-settled back here in Melbourne; so this is my first time at this venue and I love it. The Whispers function room has a proper Dj booth, which is placed nice & high so I can see the entire room. There is a raised dance floor with mirrored walls so my lighting is bouncing everywhere. This room is perfect should wish to have that nightclub vibe without the attitude of the real thing. The staff are friendly & loading equipment in & out is a breeze.
That’s it from me for now, I’ve got a room to rock! This time last week a customer of ours (Jacqui) was lovely enough to comment on one of our blog posts. She was all excited about her Engagement party coming up... Well, her big night is here and the room is filled with her and Corey's family & friends chatting and enjoying this special night for them both. I'm playing some groovy background sounds from the '80s & '90s as requested.
The Venue: I've been at this venue a few times now and it never disappoints. I'd say it has a nice warm and friendly feeling to it. It's a bit of a walk to get the equipment in now that there's a tennis court where the extra carpark used to be. But that's progress for you. :) Back to work: It's a good crowd and they look about ready to get their groove on. Time to get to work! Armada Mobile Djs are taking over The Dome tonight... Okay, so it's not "The Dome" but it's a very nice function room at The Chelsea Heights Hotel. The building has been around a while, so I wasn't expecting much really. However, It's really nice. The function room has a high curved ceiling that gives the room a feel of a small aircraft hanger. It can easily accommodate 200+ people. The staff & Security are friendly. All I need is some dance floor action...

About The Author and this Blog...Hi there, I'm Ian Wagner. Thanks for checking out my Blog. Since returning to Melbourne in 2007 and entering this next "Mobile Dj" chapter of my Dj career; I've entertained some truly wonderful people. Sure... Djing in clubs & venues has its percs, but I've really enjoyed being able to do what I love in a more intimate setting where people are just being themselves. Archives
